Andrea Marr is a multi-award winning songwriter who has been a vocal coach since 1996. AMMS is all about Developing The Complete Artist. Singers learn fundamental skills, developing pitch, range, vocal runs, breathing, every part of the voice is trained with great precision and detail tailored specifically to individual needs. All styles and all levels from beginners to professional singers welcome.

Andrea Marr has been a professional vocal coach since 1996, having worked as a Senior Associate Teacher at The Jaanz School of singing for 8 years, she went on to teaching singers in high schools alongside Pastor Larry Sebastian earning her Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) credential. Andrea then went on to get her Cert 4 in Training and Assessment and Diploma Of Music and started her own professional vocal coaching business. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Andrea has trained and consulted with some of the best acts in Australia. Andrea has also been the Vocal Coach for R&B Gospel Choir 'Urban Praise' since 2005.

Ever wanted to write songs but don’t know where to start? Or are you a prolific songwriter looking for some inspiration?
Andrea is passionate about helping students become complete artists and succeed in the music industry. She started a monthly song writing class so that her students had an opportunity to develop their creativity. Hundreds of songs have been born from those classes and this is a collection of simple but effective techniques that will help anyone who wants to explore their own creativity and start their own songs.

Services and Specialities
Song writing classes are offered once a month to all students wishing to develop their writing skills. At the Andrea Marr Music School, all students are encouraged to write their own songs. Recording a demo is then offered to students as well as the opportunity to record professionally with some of the best producers in Melbourne. Session musicians are provided for the recording to ensure great quality songs. Marketing and distribution services are available on request. Students are then taught how to market and sell their songs on iTunes/Google play/Apple-music etc. For live performances Guitar and Piano accompanists are provided for acts who cannot accompany themselves.

Our small group classes teach stagecraft, performance skills, harmonies and songwriting, while staying focused on intense scale training.
AMMS is the only music school in Melbourne offering regular showcases where students get ‘the real gig experience’ learning to present a show, market it, promote it and get paid.
Andrea presents a student showcase/awards night in front of music industry judges once a year and several performance opportunities during the year so students can have a ‘Real Gig’ experience. Many of Andrea’s students have been on TV shows including The Voice, Australian Idol and X factor. Andrea prepares singers for the audition process for those who wish to audition for these shows. At the Andrea Marr Vocal School we practise all modern musical styles and welcome students of all ages from beginners to professionals.

Andrea is also available for studio work where she does vocal production with singers to get the best out of them in the recording studio.
Andrea has created a five part workshop to help worship teams get the most out of their singers, teaching scales, basic harmonies, team building and worship leading skills – We will come to your church and run workshops to develop your team.
Andrea specialises in VCE vocal coaching and works closely with VCE music teachers to achieve great results for her students. We also offer guitar and piano lessons for beginners to advanced students.
